Anne moved to Daylesford in December 2013 and has built a new studio there.
2014 marks 20 years of professional activity in painting and drawing. Over this period my work is evidence of evolving attitudes and approaches to art making. Each work marks moments in time and signifying particular transitional changes in forms of expression. The works represent a continuing commitment to abstraction, and for a developing personal iconography. There is genuine recognition with my Scottish heritage and this manifests itself in a crossover of both Australian and Scottish influences through consideration for light, colour, surface and coded imagery. Over the last 8 years I have taken up studio residences in Scotland on a regular basis. The work produced both here and there forms the backbone of the body of work, and hopefully provides an engaging sequence for you to trace and track this vital part of my work.
